Product Care

PRODUCT CARE

All jewellery and lobes should be cared for and cleaned on a regular basis to prevent bacteria and a buildup of everyday substances.

Metals

We recommend that you do not wear any form of metal  jewellery in the shower or whilst swimming as this can accelerate the tarnishing of the product. Products can be cleaned using natural non-chemical treatments such as antibacterial soap and water. To give them that long lasting lustre use a jewellery polishing cloth to give them a shine.

Wood

All wooden tunnels and plugs should be removed daily and cleaned on a regular basis, we recommend that these items are washed using a mild non-chemical antibacterial soap. Wood products can be treated with beeswax as this helps to moisturize and polish, you can also add Vitamin E or Jojoba.

Wood products should not be worn in the shower of whilst swimming as this can cause irreversible damage due to the expansion and drying out process. Products should be stored in a sealed bag and kept away from any heat source or direct sunlight.

Shell and Bone

All shell and bone products should not be worn in the shower or whilst swimming and should be kept away from any heat sources to prevent discolouration. Products can be cleaned using natural non-chemical products. To keep the colour fresh you can wipe over with a little coconut oil.

Glass

Even though these pieces are made of a material which is fragile, weights, hangers and plugs are surprisingly durable when handled with proper care. We have sourced only the finest glass products which are predominantly made from borisilicate glass, known for its hard wearing and durability properties. Care should be taken when inserting and removing glass products (ideally not over a sink or tiled floor). Glass jewellery should be removed before showering and swimming and should be cleaned on a regular basis using natural non-chemical products.

Stone

All stone plugs should be removed daily and washed on a regular basis using natural non-chemical products such as antibacterial soap and water.
We recommend that these items are re-oiled before insertion.

Sensitivity/Allergies

Although it is rare some people are sensitive to certain materials and are prone to allergies. It is the responsibility of the customer to take precautions for any sensitive tendencies he or she may have to materials used in our products or any oxidation applied to metals prior to making a purchase.

We will not be held liable for any allergic reaction that may occur as a result of wearing our products.
